Lodge Reminders

Make sure to secure your valuables and ensure that the Lodge is secure at all times. This includes making sure that you have closed and locked the doors if you are the last to leave the Lodge.

The Lodge is a relatively noisy building, so please keep noise levels to a minimum for the benefit of fellow Lodge users.

Similarly, remember that the common areas are shared spaces, so ensure that you consider this when using the kitchen, lounge, and dining areas.

The Lodge is a club facility and not serviced as a commercial hostel. Our cleaner visits the Lodge periodically to carry out general cleaning and checking tasks in the common areas (lounge, kitchen, bathrooms, halls), but Lodge users have day-to-day cleaning/maintenance responsibilities including:

  • Tidying up after yourself in common areas as soon as practical after you use them
  • Keeping rubbish bins emptied
  • Stocking bathrooms with paper towels and emptying bathroom bins
  • Washing dishes and packing them away
  • Replacing light bulbs when blown

The bin schedule is located on the noticeboard in the upstairs living space. Lodge users are responsible for taking the bins up to the road at the top of the driveway on the nominate night, so please check that the bins are out. If there is no-one coming between when you leave and bin collection day, please take full bins up to the road.

Safety is of paramount importance to consider for the protection of everyone’s well being and belongings whilst staying at the Lodge. This includes water safety for swimming in the lake, and use and maintenance of the appliances in the Lodge.
